Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in cancer research projects, includes Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), digital droplet PCR and human cancer genetics
• Involve in experimental planning, data management, bioinformatics analysis and interpretation of the data
• Prepare relevant documents, reports and scientific publications
• Capable of providing technical training to other staffs
• Develop a comprehensive database system
• Maintain quality control on the sequencing data and performance, monitor the servers and database
• May need to work outside Hong Kong

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), human cancer genetics and research statistics
• Knowledge of a range of bioinformatics tools, programming/scripting languages
• Familiar with bioinformatics analysis of NGS data, whole exome, whole genome and targeted sequencing
• Experience of molecular technique is preferred, such as handling of human specimens, tissue extraction, PCR primer design
• Self-motivated, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
